But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:14)

Here Jesus tells us that the way is narrow and the gate is small. If you want to find life- real life, don't seek for it in the world. Seek for it in Jesus. Jesus is that narrow road and that small gate. In all your decisions and solutions to problems- seek Jesus. It may take you longer and it may be more painful to wait till the answer comes. However, it will not be painful for you. God will cover you under his wings and you will only feel a divine peace! It is the only way that leads to life. Jesus said that only a few find it. Why? Maybe they are not patient enough. They want a quick solution, and they want their own desire to be fulfilled IMMEDIATELY. Going with Jesus will cost you patience, but it is worth it. Enduring a crisis in your family, marriage, finances, health etc. with prayer and God's word will give you a peaceful end, and life indeed.

The night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. (Romans 13:12)

Are we aware that there will be changes in our life, in this world, in our present situation? Apostle Paul informs us that the present state of the world is going to change. When this will happen nobody knows, but that it will happen is a fact. Jesus told us to pray "Thy kingdom come", announcing that his kingdom of righteousness and peace will come one day perfectly. He said also that he will come like a thief. Therefore we need to be prepared at every time and season. We shall no more live in sin (the works of the darkness), but put on the armour of light. Have you given your life to Jesus? Do it now! Tomorrow might be too late. When the kingdom of Jesus begins, only those who are prepared will enter. When you give your life to Jesus, it is only the beginning. Now you must follow and day by day put on  your armour, to stand against the seductions and attacks of your enemy the devil. He will try by all means to remove you from your Saviour again. He shall fail in Jesus Name! Don't allow anything to take the Bible from you, church fellowship , and prayer. Jesus loves you!

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5)

Do you see yourself in difficult circumstances, under accusation and condemnation? If you have Jesus in your life, you can start rejoicing. He is the Light, and no matter which darkness -in other words demonic forces- may arise in your life, He cannot be overcome. A light may be small imagine a match or a candle- but if you bring it into a dark room the place will no more be dark. Literally nobody can bring darkness into a light place as long as the light is there. Darkness can not overcome light, light always brightens the darkness. That is the function of light- to make a difference. Only if the light is put off, then darkness rules. But Jesus, who died and who rose from the dead, can no more be "put off". He lives forever, and those who believe in Him, likewise have received an immortal spiritual nature. "Whoever believes in me, shall never die. And though he may die, he will live again" (in John 11) You shall not die, but live! No matter how grave your circumstances- your Lord and Saviour brightens the way for you!

For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. (Isaiah 60:2)

Are you depressed about the current state of the world? About the godlessness, wars, catastrophes? Every day we hear more terrible news than yesterday. People are dying, others suffering. There is no peace in so  many homes, divorce is rampant and many immoralities and crimes. It is the darkness that was foretold in the word of God:  the state of men being far from God and his statutes for life, the rule of the evil one over this world.

But the Bible tells us that we shall not be depressed nor sad but we shall arise and shine. The Lord himself will arise upon us and his glory will be see upon us. In all this demonic darkness of the world He has put us to be the light, to show hope. Therefore He will encourage you and comfort you. He will show you that He indeed is the Lord who loves you and who has a good plan for your life. Don't be afraid. Jesus is in control.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

This is an encouragement to do good. As a Christian it is an obligation for us to be a blessing to this world. As God promised Abram: "I will bless you and you shall be a blessing to others" so it is for us today. God has blessed us with everything that we need - spiritually and physically. He said that whatever we need we shall ask, and it shall be given unto us. Therefore You are the right address if somebody needs a word of encouragement, because you know the God who can save out of every trouble and who can heal every disease and solve every problem. You are the right address if somebody needs prayer. And you are also there to provide for somebody's physical needs. If somebody visits you, give the person to eat and to drink. Don't think about what you will eat later- share it with your visitor. Be hospitable. When you go out on the street, let your eyes be open for others. Don't allow the devil to focus your attention only on your own matters. God will always care for your matters. But He will do the more if you can also care for others. If you are attentive to your environment you will see so many opportunities to help somebody or just to show  kindness. When you see your neighbor ask him or her how she or he is. Maybe you will hear about a need and you can offer help or a prayer. Give if somebody asks you, don't be stingy. Remember God said "It will be given unto you- the same measure you use will be used for you!"

Then you will truly see the gratefulness of people towards your Father in Heaven, because your neighbors know already that you are a Christian. Therefore try to avoid any action that will make people to be disappointed about you and your God- be there when needed; let not your voice of anger be heard in the house where you live or on the street. Let not the darkness rule, but the light in you, which is Christ your Saviour. He is always there for you and He loves you always, therefore be happy in His love and show the same love to your family, your children, your neighbors and to the strangers as well.

As you do so God will surely bless you more.

In Jesus Name . Amen
